Context

FutureKind was launched by experienced leaders in the student travel space, following the closure of World Challenge Australia. With deep industry knowledge and a clear sense of the opportunity in front of them, the founders set out to build a new Australian travel brand that could speak credibly to schools, families, and partners from day one.

As a completely new venture, FutureKind needed more than just a website. It needed a strategic brand foundation, a clear market position, and a digital presence that could quickly establish trust in a competitive category. The goal was to launch a polished MVP that would allow the business to confidently introduce the new brand, showcase trips and destinations, and start generating enquiries. This aligned with the original project brief, which called for both brand foundations and a lean but strategic marketing website.

The Shift

This project was about creating something new from the ground up. The challenge was not a rebrand, but the creation of an entirely new identity in a familiar but crowded market.

FutureKind needed to feel credible, experienced, and distinctive from launch. The brand had to balance purpose and professionalism, appealing to schools and group organisers while also resonating with parents and students. On the digital side, the site needed to present a growing range of tours, expeditions, destinations, and enquiry pathways in a way that felt clear, calm, and easy to navigate.

The end result needed to do two things well, build immediate confidence, and provide a flexible platform for future growth.

Our Approach

A Combined Launch Approach

We approached the project as a combined brand and website engagement, running strategy, identity, and web planning in parallel so the business could move quickly without compromising the quality of the foundation.

Shaping the Brand Identity

On the brand side, we created the visual identity and positioning needed to bring FutureKind to life. This included logo development, vibrant colour palette, current and timeless typography, and core messaging direction. The intention was to create a brand that felt modern, purposeful, and grounded in growth, learning, and real world experience.

Building a Flexible Website Foundation

For the website, we designed and built a custom WordPress solution that could support the MVP launch while also setting the business up for later expansion. The site was built using our custom Minimly theme and plugin framework, giving the team a flexible and performance focused foundation that could evolve over time.

Designing Around User Journeys

The structure was designed around the core user journeys. This included high level brand storytelling, clear pathways into Expeditions and Tours, destination exploration, and strong enquiry calls to action. The result is a site that communicates purpose clearly, supports exploration, and makes it easy for schools to take the next step. The live site now features these core pathways prominently, including About Us, Expeditions, Tours, Destinations, and Get a Quote.
